Mira met Noel on an autumn afternoon in a small café in Lisbon. Outside, the rain was throwing itself against the windows; inside, there was exactly one seat left — directly opposite him. An accidental smile turned into a first conversation, and before either of them noticed, hours had gone by, full of words, coffee and quiet music.

Then came weeks of walking the city together, of laughing by candlelight in hidden bistros, of long silences in old bookshops. Two people who had only meant to stop over for a few days became two hearts that decided to carry on together.
